M. HOLMES, 79

November 12, 2003 The Waynedale News Staff

M. Holmes, 79, died Sunday at Riverbend Healthcare Center. Mrs. Holmes was a homemaker and member of Plymouth Congregational Church and the American Legion Post #296, Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris J. Holmes and son, Douglas S. Holmes, both in 1978.

Survivors include daughters, Susan Wright of San Diego, California; Barbara Ann Fischer of Yakima, Washington; son James Slattery of Fern Park, Florida; sisters Jerry Burton, Barbara Yager, & Beverly Meyer all of Fort Wayne; eight Grandchildren, and several Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services were held at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes (Winchester Road Chapel). A private burial service was held at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials to the American Legion Post #296.
