INDIAN GIVER
Can you believe it? ‑Some people still think that if they are given a gift, and then later the giver asks for it back, that person is called an “Indian giver.” ‑Please allow me to explain the true meaning of the term “Indian giver.”
An Indian giver is one who gives of his or her time, talent, food or belongings to help another family, friend, or even a stranger. ‑An Indian giver is one who is grateful to the Creator for you, and gives prayers every morning and throughout the day and evening for you. ‑He or she walks in Love and Light upon our Mother Earth in a good way and has love and respect for all of God’s creation. ‑I hope that some day we meet, and you will offer a prayer for this Mohawk Indian. ‑I will then say a prayer for you and call you an “Indian giver.” ‑After all, isn’t that what you want to be?
