I would like to offer special recognition to the hundreds of individuals, groups, school children, churches, businesses and others who helped the City of Fort Wayne fight the floods. I encourage each of you to complete the nomination form included in this issue of The Waynedale News. Tell me about someone that helped protect your home during the flooding or share your own story of volunteerism. So many of you responded to the call for help. I want all of Fort Wayne to know how the community pulled together in a time of great need. The Mayor Graham Richard Flood Fighter Awards will be handed out at a recognition event later this summer.
