FLAG ETIQUETTE WINNERS ANNOUNCED

L-R Larry Thiele Commander Post 296, John Moody Past Post Commander 296, Ron Kaiser 4th District Commander and Manuel Fernandez 3rd Vice Commander 296 along with 9 elementary schools (St. Aloysius, Pleasant Center, LaFayette Central, Maplewood, Unity Lutheran, St. Paul Lutheran, Lindley, St. Joseph/St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and South Wayne) were represented during the Flag Etiquette Contest.

On March 18, 2003 an award ceremony was held for the winners of a Flag Etiquette Contest held at American Legion Post 296, Tillman Road, Fort Wayne.

There were a total of 397 4th graders that participated from 9 elementary schools and two winners were announced. Guests included principles, teachers, parents, officers and board members, as well as winners from each school. The Flag Etiquette Ceremony was followed with a pizza party. Post 296 would like to thank Jamie Ream, Manager of Papa Johns Pizza in New Haven for the great pizza.
