Elma L. Meyer, 89, died Friday, November 22, 2002 at Millers Merry Manor in Garrett, Indiana. A native of Chicago, Illinois, she was past owner of Broadview Florist and past owner and operator of Pine Haven Motel in Waynedale. She was a volunteer at Lutheran Hospital for 25 years, Conservatory 25 years, and Lutheran Home for 25 years. She was past President of Fort Wayne Turner Ladies, Member of Elmhurst Garden Club, Past President of Sigma Alpha PSI Sorority, and member of Emmaus Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by husband Paul A.H. Meyer who passed away October, 4, 1991.

She is survived by daughter Phyllis Gerstner, Garrett, Indiana; sister Freda Hyde, Fort Wayne; grandchildren Jodi Kleeman Shuff, Garrett-Auburn, Indiana; David Kleeman, Syracuse, Indiana; Scott Kleeman, Indianapolis, Indiana; a Grandchild Megan Elizabeth Shuff, Great Grandchildren Matthew Shuff, Marcia Shuff, and Mollie Shuff.

Services were held Monday, November 25, 2002 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Home for Funerals with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Emmaus Lutheran Church’s ’30 Minutes With Jesus’, Fort Wayne Turners, or Millers Merry Manor of Garrett, Indiana.
