IT’S OFFICIAL: Cub Scout Pack 3044, formerly of Maplewood Elementary School, is alive and well and will now start meeting at Waynedale’s own Boy Scout Cabin, corner of Lower Huntington Road and Ardmore Avenue. Thanks to the combined efforts of Miami District Exec. Dave Kinnee, Boy Scout Troop 44 Scoutmaster Jack Shepard, and Chartered Organization Representative Ray McCune, Cub Scout Pack 3044 has been rechartered for the rest of 2002 and for the year of 2003. The Pack committee is now working out meeting times and future activities. The pack officially has 5 new Cub Scouts with 4 more waiting to sign up at the next weekly meeting at the cabin. Meeting times, Cubmaster, and activities will be announced in the next edition of THE WAYNEDALE NEWS. In the meantime, if anyone wants information on joining or helping out with the pack, please call Jack Shepard at 436-2422, Ray McCune at 747-6512, or Dave Kinnee at the Scout Office 432-9593.
