COLONEL WILLIAM CARL BLOCH, 87
Colonel William Carl Bloch, 87, died August 3, 2002, at St. Joseph Medical Center. A native of Marinette, Wisconsin, he retired from the U.S. Army Reserves in 1974 and from General Electric as an Electrical Engineer in 1975 after 29 years. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, the Waynedale Lions Club, Izaak Walton League, IEEE (Indiana Electrical & Electronic Engineers), Indiana Academy of Science, and a charter member of ACRES Inc. He was a registered Professional Engineer. He was a WWII Army Veteran and Retired Army Reserve Colonel. He was preceded in death by a brother Robert Block.
He is survived by his wife Ethyle R. Bloch, Fort Wayne; son Willson C. Bloch, Mancos, Colorado; daughter Pamela R. Malicoat, Marinette, Wisconsin; brothers Gustave M. Bloch, Marinette, Wisconsin; Donald J. Bloch; Peshtigo, Wisconsin; sisters Charlotte M. Urganiak, Marinette, Wisconsin; Caroline E. Bloch, Marinette, Wisconsin; 6 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Services were held at 11am, Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Military graveside services were held at 10am, Thursday, August 8, 2002 at Riverside Cemetery in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. Memorials to Mt.
