SMOKE ON THE WIND
The West direction on the Medicine Wheel is the Looks-Within-Place- Introspection. This is the time for listening. God will send all that we need for our Earthly journey. Remember, He sent His son – The Way Shower. We Natives have our ceremonies – the pipe, the sweat lodge, the vision quest – the sacred herbs, our dances. We listen to our elders with love and respect. They help us to connect with that Holy Spirit in a good way. We have endured much suffering and loss. At a time, there were many of our Native people here upon and with our Earth Mother. Today, there are more Natives at The Great Spirit Pow Wow called Heaven. If you sit quietly, they will come to you. They are your helpers and guides, sent by the Creator. Now is a good time to say our prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving for our many blessings. May you be filled with faith that sustains you and gives you peace and harmony. There – you have looked within yourself in a good way.
