IN FAITH
The story is told of a young boy who went to church every Sunday with his Grandmother. Every Sunday after church the two of them would go and get some ice cream. Now, this was back in the days when you could buy an ice cream for a nickel. One Sunday the Grandmother was sick and couldn’t go to church so the boy walked to church by himself. She gave him two nickels, one for the offering and one for an ice cream. On the walk to church the little boy had to cross an old wooden bridge and as he did, he dropped one of the nickels. As he watched the nickel fall into the river below he said out loud, “Uh oh, there goes God’s nickel.”
How many times do we do the same thing? We often forget that everything we have belongs to God. He is only letting us use it for a while. When we die we will not have anything left except what we have given to God. I want to encourage you to remember to give every part of your life to God…your finances, your family, your job, and your talents. It all belongs to Him, the question is how well will you handle God’s stuff?

PASTORAL VISITING
A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. He took out a card, wrote “Revelation 3:20” on the back and stuck it in the door.
When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message, “Genesis 3:10.” Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter.
Revelation 3:20 begins “Behold, I stand at the door and knock . . .”
Genesis 3:10 reads, “I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked.”
