GIRL SCOUT TROOP #937

Girl Scout Troop #937 started out meeting at the Waynedale Library back in 2003 with 4 Brownies as members. In 2004 we moved our location to Pleasant Center Elementary School and met right after school; we had 11 Girl Scouts. In 2007 we moved our meetings to Calvary United Methodist Church at 6301 Winchester Road here in Waynedale. We have continued to meet there every other Monday for the past 3 years.

We currently have 8 registered Girl Scouts in our troop and two of the girls are from the original troop that started in 2003. We are always looking for more members. Call the church for the meeting times and drop by.

Little known fact: We are not called Girl Scouts of America like the Boy Scouts of America. Officially we are Girl Scouts of USA.

For your information, we are in the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana Council and our number has recently been changed; and we are now Girl Scout Troop 20937.
