JAMES A. ELLENWOOD JR, 67
JAMES A. ELLENWOOD JR, 67, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, James worked as a Loan Officer with First Security Savings Bank for several years. He was a former WOWO Radio Disc Jockey also known as “Diamond Jim Brady” and an announcer for 21 Alive. Jim loved to fish; smoke cigars and collect any gadgets he found interesting, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen S. Ellenwood of Fort Wayne; daughters, Jamie (Greg) Funk, Jodie (Tim) Hattery both of Fort Wayne, Jessica (Patrick Michael) Haisley of Bloomingdale, IL; brother, Michael Lee Ellenwood of Fort Wayne; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Helen . Ellenwood Sr. and a brother, Leonard H. Ellenwood.
Service was 10:00 AM, March 10, 2010 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 East Dupont Rd. Calling Tuesday 2-5 and 7-9 at the funeral home.
