RUTH ESTHER VALENTINE, 98

June 26, 2002 The Waynedale News Staff

Ruth Esther Valentine, 98, died Wednesday, June 5, 2002 at her residence on Sandpoint Road. A native of Liberty Center, Indiana, she was a homemaker and a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband Lewis Valentine who passed away in 1995 and a son, Ray E. Valentine who passed away in 1985. She is the daughter of Lester Clark and Myrtle (Shadle) Clark.

She is survived by son Clark D. Valentine, Fort Wayne; daughter Carolyn Ann Arndt, West Covina, California; sister Ethel Clark, Bluffton, Indiana; 8 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, June 8, 2002 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home and Graveside services were held at 6-Mile Cemetery in Bluffton, Indiana. Preferred Memorials to Waynedale United Methodist Church, Turnstone Center for Disabled Children & Adults, and Visiting Nurse & Hospice of N.E. Indiana.
