SMOKE ON THE WIND

“Circle the wagons! ‑Indian attack!” was a familiar saying in B-Western movies of a bygone era.

Well, folks, the Indians will be back – are back – and will be at the Richardville House on Bluffton Road between Fire Station #5 and the Southwest Conservation Club on Saturday, November 2nd.

You need not circle the wagons. ‑We are friendly, and we welcome you to come to the oldest home in Allen County where you can see and purchase Indian crafts, eat buffalo stew and Indian fry bread cooked over an open fire, hear Native American flute music, tour the home, and visit with the Miami Indians and members of other tribes. ‑Come by my table, mention that you read about this in Smoke on the Wind and you will receive a 10% discount on my books. Admission to the home and tour is free. ‑There will be an Indian blessing of the grounds between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m., Indian time. ‑Hope to see you all there.

May the Great Spirit keep you healthy and happy.
