CHURCH DINNERS ~ HARVEST SUPPERS
POE VOLUNTEER FIREMEN SPONSOR 2nd ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF SUPPER
New this year – anyone can enter the Chili Cook-Off Contest. It will be held Saturday, October 11th and serving will be from 5pm to 8pm. Besides the chili there will be hot dogs and dessert. The public is welcome and we will have a free will offering. To enter or for more information please call Mary at 639-6418 (after 5pm)
FISH FRY
Who: Fairview Church of God
What: Bake Sale and All You Can Eat Fish and Tenderloin Fry with scalloped potatoes, green beans, apple sauce or Cole slaw, bread & butter, dessert, and beverage by Dan’s Fish Fry Service.
When: Saturday, October 11, 2003 from 4:30pm to 7pm
Where: At the church, 2 miles west of Highway #1 on Yoder Road in Yoder, Indiana
Info: Adults $6 and children $4 – carryouts available – bake sale
Why: All proceeds to Tri-County Ministries
FISH FRY
Who: St. Therese School
What: All You Can Eat Fish with potatoes, applesauce or coleslaw, bread, beverage, and dessert
When: Friday, October 17, 2003 from 4:30pm to 7pm
Where: 2304 Lower Huntington Road
Why: Proceeds will benefit the St. Therese School Renovation Fund
Cost: Adults-$6.50, Children-(6-12 years)-$4
HOG ROAST
Bishop Luers Wrestling program will host a Hog Roast at the Luers Field parking lot on Friday, October 17th at 5pm, prior to the Concordia/Luers Football Game. $5 a plate includes barbequed pork sandwich, baked beans, sauerkraut, potatoes, and pop.
HARVEST SUPPER
Nine Mile United Methodist Church will hold their Harvest Supper on Saturday, October 18, 2003 from 4:30pm until 7pm. The church is located at 6303 Winter Road (just off Indianapolis Road – turn left onto Buskirk Road then right onto Winters Road). The cost for the supper is $6 for adults (age 13 and up) and $2.50 for kids (age 12 and under). The menu includes your choice of Swiss Steak or Baked Chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans or corn, salad, rolls, homemade pie, and a drink. Carryout is available.
FALL CARNIVAL
The Weekday Pre-School of Waynedale United Methodist Church, located at 2501 Church Street, will be having their annual Fall Carnival on Friday, October 24th from 5pm to 8pm. Dinner begins at 5pm with activities including, door prizes, children’s games and prizes, and our “Very Popular” (not so spooky) “SPOOKY WALK”, enjoyed by all ages. Mark your calendars now and plan to bring your family, friends, and neighbors for dinner and a fun filled evening in a safe environment. Where: 11555 N. U.S. Highway 27 N. Decatur
Cost: Adults $6, Children $3 (age 6-12), 5 and under FREE
Note: Bazaar and Bake sale with silent auction for hand-made quilt
HALLOWEEN FUN
The Zanesville Lions invite you to join them on Wednesday evening, October 29, 2003 for an evening of Halloween Fun. The party begins at 6:30pm sharp with costume judging. Cash prizes will be given. There will be treats for the kids. Hot Dogs, Chips/cheese, and drinks. There will also be Bingo with prizes. The whole evening is FREE and you are all invited to bring your friends and families. This will be held at the Zanesville Park, Zanesville, Indiana.
