KENNETH GEORGE STANGER, 71
Kenneth George Stanger, 71, died Monday, December 8, 2003 at his Kingsway Drive residence. Born in Fort Wayne, he worked in heat treatment at Dana Corporation and retired in 1996 after 36 years. He was a member of the Church of Divine Science, American Legion Post #241, and served in the Navy aboard the USS Hickox and sailed around the world. He was discharged in 1959. He liked to travel.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ellen Stanger, Fort Wayne; stepdaughters Dorothy Hitzeman (Kenneth), Americus, Georgia; Kathleen Smith (Dan), San Climente, California; Martha Masterson (Doug), Valparaiso, Indiana; Stephanie Seitz (Rick), Roanoke, Indiana; brother Charles Stanger (Jeanette) Fort Wayne; sisters Louise Powell, Spencerville, Indiana; Joan Adamonis, Fort Wayne; Marjorie Keefer (Jim), Fort Wayne; 8 Grandchildren, and 14 Great Grand Children.
Services were performed by Reverend Jay Fisher on Friday, December 12, 2003 at Elzey, Patterson, Rodak Home for Funerals. Burial with military honors was held in Prairie Grove Cemetery.
