BROOKLYN MEDICAL ASSOCIATES BREAKS GROUND FOR NEW MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING
Brooklyn Medical Associates broke ground for their new Medical Office building at the corner of Brooklyn and Nuttman Avenues on Thursday, March 25th, 2004. The new 29,000 square foot building will replace the current Physicians Plaza on Brooklyn Avenue, built in 1956 as one of the city’s first “suburban” medical buildings. Dr. Herbert Acker (pictured above), one of the founders of Brooklyn Medical Associates, was involved in the development of this new building and the continued commitment to this near southwest side neighborhood location. The new building will house 8 full-time Family Physicians, as well as, Lab, X-ray, Urgent Care and Physical Therapy services.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in November, 2004, according to project architect, MSKTD & Associates, Inc.
