MARY FRANCES SLICK, 86
MARY FRANCES SLICK, 86, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at Lutheran Home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a homemaker and co-owner of Slick’s Laundry & Cleaners with her husband, John L. Slick Jr.; he preceded her in death in 2001. A member of Trinity Episcopal Church, she was also past-president of the Fort Wayne Junior League.
Survivors include her son, John L. (Holly) Slick III of Fort Wayne; daughters, Nancy Allen of Berkeley, California, Susan Griffith of Central City, Colorado, Kathy (Dan) Phillips of Yorktown, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, John L. Slick IV, Joseph Slick, David (Shanan) Slick, Chris (Cali) Allen, Kelissa (Michael) Devencenzi, Jenny Phillips, Laura Phillips and Amy (Tom) Ochsner; step-grandchildren, Heidi Gerding and Brady (Becky) Gerding; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service was Friday, July 30, in Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 W. Berry Street. Calling was Thursday, July 29, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Wayne Street Chapel, 420 W. Wayne St. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
The preferred memorials are Trinity Episcopal Church or the Shriners Children’s Hospitals.
