WILLLIAM S. O’BRIEN, 82

WILLLIAM S. O’BRIEN, 82, formerly of Fort Wayne, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, in Southfield, Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Leach O’Brien of Beverly Hills, Michigan; daughter, Cynthia A. O’Brien of Rome City; stepdaughter, Judith (Jim) Gerard of Portland, Oregon; stepsons, Douglas Leach of San Francisco, California, David (Karen) Leach of Groton, Vermont, Steven (Tina) Leach of Seattle, Washington and Edward Leach of Issaquah, Washington; brothers, Thomas V. (Shirley) O’Brien of Madison, Ohio, Francis A. (Ada) O’Brien of Boyne City, Michigan; sister, Eileen O’Brien of Swansea, Illinois; nine grandchildren; and his West Highland Terrier, Fred.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis O’Brien in 1980.

Calling was July 15, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Mass of Christian Burial was Friday, July 16 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2120 S. Harrison Street. Burial in St. John Cemetery.

The preferred memorial is Beaumont Hospice, 1200 Stephenson Hwy., Troy, MI 48083.
