DONALD D. BOHNKE, 84
DONALD D. BOHNKE, 84, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Lutheran Hospital. Born October 28, 1921, in Adams County, he was the son of Frank E. and Frances I. (Snell) Bohnke. He married Virginia E. (Guinn) on December 24, 1946. He was a World War II Marine Veteran and retired after 36 years from Central Soya in 1982, where he was a grain buyer. He was a member of the American Legion Post #82 in Fort Wayne, the Decatur Masonic and Moose Lodges, and Zion United Church of Christ.
Surviving are his daughter, Donna (Dennis) Emley of Fort Wayne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, and brother, Harold Bohnke.
Memorial service was Wednesday, June 28, at Trinity English Lutheran Church, Krauss Chapel, 405 West Wayne St. Fort Wayne, with Pastor Kathleen Haller officiating. The family received friends following the service at the Fireside Room and Library. Arrangements by Elzey Patterson Rodak.
