ROANOKE FALL FESTIVAL SINCE 1953
Always the weekend following Labor Day, the Roanoke Fall Festival has been the big event in town since 1953.
With two parades (Ageless Iron antique tractors on Friday and a full-out, band marching, candy tossing, politician stomping extravaganza on Saturday), a tractor pull, a demolition derby, amusement rides, carnival food, cake decorating contest, it is an action packed weekend.
There is also the annual Corn Bag Toss contest and throughout the day there are traditionally kids’ games, a car show, pancake and sausage breakfast, antique tractor display, and live entertainment. Most events take place in Roanoke’s much loved town park with lots of food and carnival fun available throughout the weekend.
