PATTENS PICK ME UP
Easter is a great time think about life.
Spring is just around the corner.
Talk about life, can you see the tulips and daffodils?
Dare we mention death?
Death brings life. That’s what the Bible says. God says there is no real life without Jesus!
The Bible says, we are “walking dead” without Christ. Most of us think a great deal about life and living. Who wants to think about death? We must because remember no one gets out alive. The death of Jesus brought life to you and me.
What a paradox.
Jesus was everything he claimed to be. He did say great things about himself. He demonstrated he was God time and time again and yet when he could have called thousands of angels to save him, he dies between two dregs of society.
We like winners. We like to see the bad guys lose and good prevail.
“What went wrong here”, asked the losers. The good God lost and the bad one (Satan) won.
The Bible says that: “God’s ways are not our ways”
How can you lose and be the winner?
God says a man must lose his life in order to win ETERNAL LIFE.
Have you witnessed God working in the losses of your life?
I have not found the verses in the Bible promising life without pain and suffering. Trust me I’ve looked.
Easter is a great time to think on these things. It is important to remember that just 3 days after hope died came these words, HE IS ALIVE. Matthew 28:6
The one that was thought to be the loser was the winner.
I have watched many winners in my lifetime but no one will ever match the great victory of Jesus. Jesus the God man beat death.
Now that is truth but it is up to man to believe.
John 8:32 says, “Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”.
Here’s the rub. It is not just truth. It is truth that you know and act upon.
How can I be winner?
Knowing with certainty that the Son of God died, conquered death, and rose from the grave what a winner you could be this Easter. If you have never committed your life to Jesus Christ this could be an Easter you will never forget.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Now that is really living and really winning too!
