ANNUAL GRANDPARENT’S DAY AT MT. CALVARY LUTHERAN PRESCHOOL
What do Paige, Autumn, Dana, Blaire, Dakota, Ryce, Gabriel and Sophia have in common? They are all grandchildren of Ed and Mary Lou Fox who have attended Mt. Calvary Lutheran Preschool at one time or another since 1992.
Ed and Mary Lou are pictured here with granddaughter Sophia and Sue Doepner, the director, who has taught 5 of the 8 grandchildren in her classes. Ed and Mary Lou were attending the preschool’s annual grandparent’s day and reminiscing about the many years they have attended special events at the preschool.
There are no more grandchildren eligible for Preschool, but they are waiting for the newest member of the family to be old enough so they can attend as Great-grandparents!
Ed and Mary Lou stay active with their grandchildren, as well as walking to deliver The Waynedale News in several Waynedale neighborhoods.
Mt. Calvary added childcare to the preschool in 2008 and now has infants through school-age children eligible for their programs. The school held a walk-ride-a-thon April 29 with all ages participating to raise funds for playground improvements.
Mt. Calvary Child Care and Preschool welcomes tax-deductible donations from friends, alumni and members of the community to support continuing education for the young children of our community. Call Sue Doepner 260-203-3715 for more information.
