KINGSTON RESIDENCE TO HOSTS 3RD ANNUAL TASTE OF WAYNEDALE

Kingston Residence to Host 3rd Annual Taste of WaynedaleKingston Residence of Fort Wayne will be hosting the “Taste of Waynedale” on March 22nd from 4:30 -7:30 p.m., at their community located at 7515 Winchester Road. The proceeds from this event will go to our good neighbor, Community Harvest Food Bank and waynedale.com.

Executive Director Erin Floyd states “We want to do something that supports and promotes the businesses in the Waynedale area yet also gives back to the community.” We are inviting area restaurants to come to Kingston and offer samples of a product or two that they want to promote, something that may be a house specialty or new dish. Vendors will also provide coupons and literature about their restaurant. The response has been excellent. Participating restaurants include Azar’s Big Boy, Bandido’s, Belmont Beverage, Casa Ristorante Italiano, China Palace, Chuck and Bird’s Bistro and Marketplace, Dairy Queen, Ellison Bakery, GFS Marketplace, Hall’s Original Drive In, Hill’s Meat Market, Key III Candy, Kingston Residence, The Lantern, Nine Mile Restaurant, Penguin Point, Pike’s Pub, Pizza Hut, Scott’s Foods, Spyro’s, Subway, The Stand, Waynedale Café and Waynedale Bakery.

Another aspect of the “Taste of Waynedale” is the silent auction. Marketing Director Camille Garrison says that businesses that don’t have food products can still participate in the event. They can promote their business and support Community Harvest by offering a product or a service for the Silent Auction. “It’s fantastic how generous the merchants of Waynedale are. We currently have over 40 gifts ranging from golf to gift cards, oil changes to gift baskets and more is anticipated.

There will be a $15 per person fee to attend the event and Kingston is requesting attendees call ahead to RSVP and strongly recommend that tickets are picked up in advance to this very popular event. Tickets may be purchased at Kingston Residence Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Both Curves for Women and Hair Affair, both on Bluffton Road also have tickets available for purchase. To RSVP, or to provide a silent auction item please call 747-1523 or 415-7741. You can also email cgarrison@kingstonhealthcare.com.
