ANGELITA (RODRIQUEZ) LOPEZ, 88
Angelita (Rodriguez) Lopez, 88, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010 at her home. Born in Bastrop, Texas, Angelita retired from General Electric after 15 years. She attended St. Jude Catholic Church, and a member of F.O.E 248 and American Legion Post 82. She enjoyed tending to her plants and gardening, she spent many hours crocheting, playing euchre, working crossword puzzles and shopping. Angelita also had a great sense of humor and was very compassionate and shared words of comfort with those in need.
Surviving are her children, Raymond (Mary L.) Lopez III of Fort Worth, Texas, Delores (Rodolfo) Duron of Fort Worth, Texas, Jessie (Gloria) Lopez of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Maria Aguirre (Kim Clark) of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Robert (Wanda F.) Lopez of Mansfield, Texas; sister, Olivia Jacinto of Lorain, Ohio; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.
Angelita was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Lopez in 2008, son Antonio Lopez, parents Antonio and Felicita Rodriguez; three brothers; and three sisters.
Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30am, Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Drive with calling an hour prior to Mass. Fr. Robert D’Souza officiating. Calling was from 2:00 to 5:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with a Rosary at 7:30pm by the Mother’s Rosary Group.Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
