Waynedale Masonic Lodge Celebrates 70 Years
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the Waynedale Masonic Lodge, established in 1954. The Lodge has a rich history of community service and growth, culminating in the construction of its Temple in 1969. The Lodge continues to embody the values of Freemasonry and fosters community involvement, inviting all to celebrate this milestone.
Dafforn Farm Receives Historic Award
The Dafforn Farm in Allen County received the Hoosier Homestead Sesquicentennial Award for continuous operation since 1874. State officials praised the farm's dedication to agriculture, contributing to Indiana’s economy. Recognizing family-run farms for 100, 150, or 200 years, the award celebrated 104 farms at the Indiana State Fair. Nominations are due Nov. 1.

Fort Wayne will host the “Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown” on September 8, 2024, to encourage locals to explore the city’s attractions for free with a special passport. Highlights include museums, gardens, and historic sites. Passports can be downloaded or picked up from mid-August, offering chances to win prizes.
