HAPPY 95TH, CONNIE!
Connie (Lucia) Pozzanghera grew up in the Rochester, New York area. She worked as a hairdresser for many years. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Sam. In addition to Sam’s job as a research chemist, together they managed a small department store in East Rochester. They had 3 children, Anita, Keith and Steve. Connie found a second career working as a Teaching Assistant for special needs students. It was a passion for her and the kids loved “Mrs. P.” as much as she loved them.
Connie became a widow after 52 years of marriage. At the age of 89 she made the big move to Fort Wayne to be closer to her daughter. She enjoys her new friends at Georgetowne Place and can be found most afternoons and early evenings playing cards with them. Her 95th birthday will be celebrated with family and friends.
