STRIVING TO RAISE $1 MILLION FOR HIV/ AIDS SERVICES
On Saturday, March 23, 2019, Babylon/ After Dark will commemorate its 30th Annual AIDS Benefit. The staff and friends of Babylon/ After Dark have generously hosted this event for the past 30 years, raising over $970,000 historically for the Positive Resource Connection. The event includes a live auction filled with antiques, artwork and wonderful gifts from the community, accompanied by hilarious commentary from your favorite local and guest drag queens. You can expect more surprises and drag performances from Babylon/ After Dark’s talented entertainers.
The Northeast Indiana Positive Resource Connection has been serving the community for decades. All proceeds raised from the AIDS Benefit will directly benefit HIV/ AIDS services provided by the agency, including free HIV testing and care coordination programs for those living with HIV.
“We wish for the day when we don’t have to hold a fundraiser for HIV education and prevention,” said Della Licious, chair of the benefit and After Dark entertainer. “But until that time comes, when the spread of HIV is stopped, we will be raising money in the only way we know how: begging and putting on a show!” Joining the steering committee with Della are Justin Hoover and Matthew Gallaway.
