PRESERVATION WORKSHOPS

ARCH, in conjunction with TekVenture, is excited to announce they will be hosting a Preservation Expo on April 1, 2017 from 10a.m. – 4p.m. The Expo will be held at TekVenture, which is located at 1550 Griffin Street, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This event will feature several demonstrators and lectures featuring an array of preservation oriented topics including: masonry repair, window and door restoration, green and LEAD – energy efficiency, molding restoration, gardening and landscaping, and more.

The featured speaker of the expo will be David Hayles, an international Scagliola expert who was a lead consultant for the restoration of the Allen County Courthouse. He will give two demonstrations on technique, as well as sign copies of his new book: Confessions of an Ornamental Plasterer.

The Expo will include a vendor fair featuring local contractors and business within the preservation field. Booths are still currently available for rents.

The Expo is catered to historic property owners with an end goal that these historic property owners walk away with new restoration skills. This is the first time that ARCH and TekVenture have held a preservation expo.

Tickets for the Preservation Expo are on sale now at archfw.org and are $5. The day of the tour tickets will be $6 and $5 for members of either ARCH or TekVenture.
