Waynedale Elementary students, along with hundreds of fellow students, competed in a Cross Country race on Monday, September 19, 2016. The students ranged from grades 1-5.
This was the 2nd of 4 races scheduled for the Fort Wayne Community Schools. At the first race of the year on Monday, September 12, there were over 600 participants! The race was 1-mile on the grassy area of the park, starting and finishing near the Splash Pad, with all participants receiving a t-shirt and a ribbon when they finished.
The next race in the Elementary Cross Country series will be on Monday, September 26 at Swinney Park and directed by Jennifer McDunnough a Washington Elementary School Building Coach.
