ST. MARK LUTHERAN HOSTING CHOCOLAT RETREAT
Saint Mark Lutheran Church is hosting their fourth non-denominational women’s retreat on October 18, 2014. Women get the experience of Bible Study with women of all ages. The retreat is a one-day event. We enjoy a light breakfast and begin our sessions at 9am and end by 4pm. We have a wonderful lunch around noon. We create a gift for others as our service project to the community. It is a joy to get together with other women to relax, sing, share and learn more about God.
This year our theme is “Café’ Chocolat”. It is based on Ephesians 6. We will be studying about the grace of God. Through the Bible Study and activities women will secure a better understanding of God’s grace and the importance of spreading the Good News to everyone.
If just thinking about chocolate brings a smile to your face, try thinking about this-hanging out at a café’ with friends, while enjoying your favorite hot beverage, nibbling on a brownie or piece of chocolate, laughing, talking and relaxing together-it’s a perfect gathering!
Café’ Chocolat is a relaxing chocolate-themed retreat the women of our church are doing together. It includes worship, Bible Study and time for laughter as well as time for quiet reflection. While the name of our gathering sounds indulgent, we will actually be using chocolate as a metaphor for God’s extravagant grace.
Saturday, October 18, 2014 is the retreat date. Registration starts at 8:30am ending our day at 4pm. The cost is $15 which includes all materials and two meals. Our church is located ten minutes from Waynedale at 16933 Thiele Road. To get more information call the church office at 260-622-4886 and have a registration form mailed to you and reserve your spot.
