RUMMAGE & BAKE SALE TO RAISE FUNDS IN HONOR OF LOCAL TEEN

A rummage and bake sale and concession stand fundraiser will be held for COTA in honor of Noel Resor, a Fort Wayne-area child who needs a kidney transplant. The event is planned for Saturday, July 19, at Avalon Missionary Church’s Family Life Center, 1212 Lower Huntington Road-Parking Lot, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

15-year-old Noel anticipates a kidney transplant at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Funds are being raised to assist with transplant-related expenses.

Those interested in renting a parking lot space should contact Erin Armstrong by July 7 at (260) 478-1325 or erin@soundstrong.com to reserve your space. Spaces will rent for $25 this includes one table. Items to be sold include clothes, housewares, furniture, gaming and video equipment, eclectic items and more!

Resor was diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). The Resor family needs an estimated $75,000 to pay transplant-related expenses. Learn more about Noel’s story at www.COTAforNoelR.com

Noel’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity based in Bloomington, Indiana. COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are completely free of charge, and 100% of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses.
