BOWLING FUNDRAISER IN HONOR OF LOCAL TEEN
A family friendly fundraiser will be held for COTA in honor of Noel Resor, a Fort Wayne-area child who needs a kidney transplant. The event is planned for Friday, May 16, at Thunderbowl, from 6-9 p.m. 15-year-old Noel anticipates a kidney transplant at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis. Funds are being raised to assist with transplant-related expenses.
The COTA Bowling for Life event is a fun activity for the whole community. The goal is to help raise at least $6,000 for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association. The evening includes a 50/50 raffle, kid’s games and prizes and bowling contests for participants of all ability levels. The community is encouraged to participate for just $60 per lane. This includes the cost of shoes and allows your group to bowl the entire three hours. Lane sponsorships are available for $75. “The family and friends of Noel want to encourage everyone in the community to attend our upcoming event in an effort to help give Noel a second chance at life,” said Event Chair Nancy Leming. “100% of the profits from this event will assist with transplant-related expenses.”
Resor was diagnosed with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). The Resor family needs an estimated $75,000 to pay transplant-related expenses. For more information about the event at Thunderbowl, or other fundraising and volunteer opportunities, please contact Nancy Leming,

Noel’s family has asked for assistance from the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA), a national charity based in Bloomington, Indiana. COTA is dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses. COTA’s services are completely free of charge, and 100% of funds generated by COTA community fundraising campaigns are available for transplant-related expenses.
