ST. JOSEPH SCHOOL STUDENTS MOVE INTO NEW FACILITY
The long awaited moving day is here for the students and staff of St. Joseph Elementary School in Monroeville. The children, teachers and staff treked from their old school to the Monroeville Elementary School building that was purchased this year from the East Allen County School District.
The procession began at the existing school at 1:00 p.m., along with a blessing of the backpacks and then the children, teachers, and staff walked to the new school.
On Saturday the move continued with some help from students at Bishop Luers High School. Many Bishop Luers football players and Spirit Club members helped move boxes, supplies and furniture for the children and staff of St. Joseph Elementary School.
Monday, November 25th brought the first day of classes in the new facility.
Bishop Kevin Rhoades will visit and officially bless the new school on Thursday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m.
