4TH GRADERS PUT ON WAX MUSEUM OF SAINTS

The St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School 4th grade saints process into the morning All Saint’s Day Mass at St. Elizabeth Seton parish. On November 1, All Saint’s Day, the 4th graders at St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School put on a “Wax Museum of Saints.”

The 4th graders chose a saint, did research on that saint and later dressed as that saint. On Friday, the 4th graders lined up along the upstairs and downstairs hallways of the school. Visitors and other students pushed a red “button” on the floor in front of the saint, and the 4th graders told the visitors some interesting facts about their saint.

Some of the saints represented included St. Maria Goretti, St. George, St. Cecilia, St. Patrick. St. Teresa of Avila, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Timothy, St. Rose of Lima, St. Kateri Tekakwitha, St. Gianna Beretta Molla, Blessed John Paul II and Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

“The students did an awesome job telling the visitors to the museum about their saints,” said Principal Lois Widner. “We were so impressed with their knowledge of the unique facts about their saints. It was a learning experience for the students and all the visitors as well!”
The 4th graders were guided in the Wax Museum of Saints project by their teacher Mrs. Sarah Darling who teaches them religion. They are the students of Mrs. Darling and Miss Anna Cunningham. The 4th graders also processed into the morning All Saint’s Day Mass in their saints’ costumes at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish.
