CAPTAIN RON’S CORRAL – FRIENDLY FOODIE
Saddle up for a good time! In the spotlight this week is Captain Ron’s Corral, a fairly new establishment in the Waynedale area. And let me tell you, the name of the steakhouse suits it perfectly. This country bar and restaurant offers you all the country amenities: great country music, good food, pool tables, drink specials, sports on the big screen, and quality country charm and service.
I love walking into Captain Ron’s because I can always count on being greeted with a smile by multiple staff members. This “at home” atmosphere doesn’t just stop at the door, it continues throughout your entire stay at the restaurant. Service is friendly and leaves you feeling comfortable and relaxed.
Now for the good stuff! Captain Ron’s is famous for their incredible steak dinner deal. For merely $5.99 you can get yourself a delicious steak dinner including a baked potato, garlic bread, and salad (with the purchase of a drink)- may I also suggest loading your baked potato for some extra zing! But, hold your horse, before you ask for steak sauce, you can guarantee that your server will have you take your first bite without any extras. Captain Ron himself has a house rule that everyone who orders steak leaves his establishment knowing what the true steak tastes like. This is a man who stands behind the quality of his food and hopes to give each patron an experience that leaves them wanting to return.
If you’re not much of a steak person I also highly recommend the grilled chicken sandwich that is served with homemade chips ($6.00). As a starter, the onion rings and fried pickles are always a delightful option as well. If you still have room for dessert after all these awesome entrees, Captain Ron’s has an excellent cheesecake for dessert.
So, if you’re looking for a relaxed, welcoming, country atmosphere to enjoy an exceptional steak dinner and a good beer with friends, Captain Ron’s is your place. Don’t forget this is also a great place to view all your favorite sports teams!
