WELCOME HOME FESTIVAL IN NEW HAVEN

New Haven Chamber of Commerce along with the New Haven Adams Township Parks Department would like to welcome you to New Haven at their “Welcome Home Festival”. On Saturday, September 28 beginning at 2:00 P.M. you can join the festivities by paying $3 and receiving a Smiley Face Stamp on your hand. Then you have the culinary joy of receiving, all along Broadway, samples of our local restaurants at “Sample New Haven”. Make sure to pick out your favorite one to help choose “The People’s Choice” award.

As you satisfy your hunger you can participate in the “Stop N Shop Scavenger Hunt”. While stopping by businesses you can pick up clues, which when put together correctly spell a secret phrase. Once you have figured out the phrase you will be entered into a drawing for a 2014 Family Pass to Jury Pool, given by the New Haven Parks Department. Oh, and by the way, don’t forget to check out the decorated windows prepared by the New Haven High School Cheerleaders.

Then go to Schnelker Park for a variety of family activities, which are free, that include: an ASPCA display and adoptions, White Tiger Martial Arts demonstration, New Haven Police K-9 Unit, Live Music, “Happy Feet” jump house, a Farmer’s Market that offers a variety of crafts and foods, and much more.

For more adult entertainment, Country Heritage Wine and Cap-N-Cork will be offering a wine and craft beer tasting for an additional fee of $3. Make sure to bring your ID. This part of the day is only for adults 21 and over.
Also, beginning on September 28, the Fort Wayne Home and Building Association will be offering a peak into beautiful homes in New Haven at “The Parade of Homes”. The Parade of Homes is located at Landin Parke just north of downtown New Haven off of Landin Road. The Parade of Homes begins on September 28th and goes through October 6th. It will be open daily from noon to 9, on Sunday from noon to 6.

So come to New Haven on September 28th and let us show you what making New Haven your home is all about.
