NEIGHBOR OF THE YEAR CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES

With the generous partnership from WANE TV and Parkview Health, NeighborLink Fort Wayne has launched a campaign designed to identify and celebrate neighbors doing small things with big impact throughout Fort Wayne neighborhoods. Every neighborhood in Fort Wayne has a few people that go above and beyond. They do the little things to change their community for the better, and we want to find them.

Starting on Tuesday, September 3rd through September 30th, we are inviting Fort Wayne residents to nominate a neighbor who has made an impact on them personally or on behalf of the neighborhood. We’re defining a neighbor as someone that physically lives next door, across the street, around the corner, or a few blocks over.

“Small Things Change Neighborhoods. Parkview Health, WANE TV, and NeighborLink Fort Wayne believe that healthy neighborhoods begin with us all making intentional efforts to know and support our neighbors. This campaign is our attempt to recognize a neighbor who hasn’t gotten the credit they deserve for their efforts to create community where they live. We can’t wait to hear the incredible stories that get told.” – Andrew Hoffman, Executive Director

More information & details on how to nominate your neighbor are available online at www.NeighborOfTheYear.org.

Nominations will be taken until September 30th. Nominations will be narrowed down to the top 5, video interviews will be produced and posted, and then public voting will begin on November 11th.
