CHICAGO’S WINDY CITY PLAYERS PERFORM
On September 4th, the Windy City Players, an acting troupe from Chicago, visited St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School and put on a performance of Cinderella for kindergartners through 4th graders at the St. Elizabeth campus. Several of the scenes included St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth students playing bit parts. The story line of Cinderella is a familiar one and included comic scenes, and the students enjoyed the performance.
The Windy City Players are made up of three actors who play multiple parts. The Windy City players write and direct their own versions of fairy tales. The actors put on three shows a day, five days a week. They are currently on a two-month tour through cities such as Fort Wayne, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston and Austin, before returning to Chicago.
