AREA SCOUTS EARN EAGLE AWARD
On Sunday, May 27th, two area Boy Scouts from Troop 344 reached the ultimate goal in scouting, achieving the Eagle Scout Rank. Rory Lewis and Raymond McCune both received their awards in a dual ceremony held at Southwest Church of Christ.
Rory Lewis is the son of Bryan and Kim Lewis. Rory joined scouting in the 5th grade at Cubscout Pack 3352 sponsored by the former Pleasant Center Elementary School.
Raymond McCune is the son of Raymond “Sean” and Terri McCune. Raymond is a third generation scouter following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps. His grandfather, Raymond “Lee” McCune has been in scouting over 30 years, and is known throughout the Miami District.
The ceremony was conducted by Andy Dukarski, former Scoutmaster of Troop 344, which is sponsored by Waynedale United Methodist Church.
Rory Lewis and Raymond McCune join Eagle Scouts Nathan Seelye, Rob Dukarski, John Dukarski, Sean Driscoll, and Tyler Davis who have all “Eagled” within the past 19 months from Troop 344.
