SMOKE ON THE WIND

REV. THOMAS, DANCING FEATHERAmong Native American tribes, when one is in need of prayer and comfort, they will ask that we ‘send up some smoke’ for them.

What they are asking is for us to pray, using sacred tobacco to send our prayers up to The Creator. We can use a prayer pipe, or we can burn tobacco in a shell or bowl.

When we say our prayers, they rise in the smoke, and The Creator sees and hears them, for we have sent “Smoke on the Wind.”
Let us pray.

I send smoke up for you, my friends.

God bless you.

He loves you and so do I.
