SECOND ANNUAL COOKOUT TO BENEFIT TROOPS
Support our troops and enjoy a great meal! The public is invited to attend the second annual cookout to benefit Operation U.S. Troop Support at My Menu, 6425 West Jefferson Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, August 14 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Burgers, brats, and drinks will be $1.00 each with all profits going to the Operation U.S. Troop Support initiative. With the help of many local and national organizations and individuals from across the United States, Alison Mansfield of Operation U.S. Troop Support has collected and shipped over 52,000 items to soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and injured soldiers recovering at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Individuals and organizations may also donate wool socks, toiletries, snacks, and other needed items at the August 14 cookout as a donation collection box will be available. Cash donations to help defray expensive shipping costs are also greatly appreciated. For a more complete list of needed items, please visit www.operationustroopsupport.org. If you cannot attend the cookout, cash and other donations may also be mailed to Operation U.S. Troop Support, Post Office Box 40125, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
