MARKLEY’S CELEBRATE 50TH ANNIVERSARY
Gary and Betty Markley will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends, starting with Mass at St. Therese and then at Brookwood Golf Club. They were united in marriage at St. John’s Catholic Church in New Haven on June 18, 1960.
The couple was blessed with 2 sons and 1 daughter. Michael (Stephanie) of Bristol, Indiana; Gregg (Cami) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and Jean (Neal) Stegemiller of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Gary and Betty have 9 grandchildren. The couple also raised twin nieces, Dianne Heidenreich and Darlene Miller-Fugate of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Gary retired from International Harvester after 36 years of service and Betty retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools after 23 years of service.
Gary and Betty Markley have lived in the Waynedale area for 50 years. They lived on Tyrone Road for 17 years and on Hiltonia Drive (Lake Shores) for 33 years. They have been very active in the community, especially at St. Therese Church and School. They are avid sports fans and do a lot of traveling.
They will be celebrating this special anniversary with a trip to Tahiti.
