JULIE CHRISTIAN WINS “TEACHER CHAMPION” AWARD
On June 11th, the Allen County Education Partnership awarded its annual “Teacher Champion” award to Mrs. Julie Christian, a 3rd grade teacher at St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School.
The award was announced and presented by Lisa Fabian of the Allen County Education Partnership at the end of a St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School Mass. The award is given to one public and one non-public school each year, and is awarded to teachers “who empower their students to be champions,” said Lisa Fabian.
St. Joseph-St. Elizabeth School Principal Lois Widner nominated Mrs. Christian for the annual award. The Teacher Champion award will be followed up with an event in mid-September when Mrs. Christian will be recognized as a recipient of the Teacher Champion award.
