A TRIBUTE TO A SPECIAL MAN
What makes a man so special? We have lost a friend and neighbor in Waynedale. Not the first friend or neighbor any of us have lost but a deeply soul wrenching loss that burns in the eyes of everyone I see when I walk out my door and see my neighbors.
He was a good man, a good husband, a good father, a good business owner, a good neighbor, a devout man of his church and always a good and giving friend. All of these traits certainly account for the deep loss we are all feeling, but it goes much deeper. He is so special because he was so kind, so very kind to every one of us. We have all felt Bill’s kindness; the neighborhood kids, the elderly and all of us in the middle who are so busy with our lives.
Perhaps as we all so deeply mourn Bill we can all learn from him and pick up the mantle of true kindness.
What a wonderful legacy for Bill Osterholt to leave us.
