CHARITY COOKOUT BENEFITTING CROHN’S & COLITIS FOUNDATION
On Saturday, May 8, 2010, residents of Fort Wayne can help cook up a cure! MyMenu invites everyone to visit any MyMenu location, including the store at 6427 W. Jefferson Blvd. and support the 1st MyMenu Charity Cookout Day benefiting the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
On May 8th, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., cookout supporters will receive a hamburger or a brat and a drink, for a minimum donation of $2.00. All product and time is donated, so every cent raised goes directly to the CCFA for its research programs. Starting Friday, April 9th, MyMenu customers can also support the CCFA by purchasing a Star at any MyMenu location, for a minimum donation of $2.00.
Proud Partners
MyMenu is proud to support the CCFA in its tireless work on behalf of Crohn’s and Colitis sufferers.
The Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to finding the cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are chronic digestive disorders, collectively known as inflammatory bowel diseases, or IBD. It is estimated that some 1.4 million Americans suffer from IBD, with approximately 30,000 new cases diagnosed each year.
Anyone can get IBD, but adolescents and young adults between the ages of 15 and 35 are most susceptible. There is no known cause of IBD and currently there is no cure.
“We are truly proud of the work the CCFA carries out daily to improve the lives of Crohn’s and Colitis sufferers and to find the cure for these devastating diseases,” said MyMenu U.S. Divisional Vice President, Jennifer Dodd. “These too often silent conditions affect more than 30,000 Indiana residents, and MyMenu is thrilled to play a part in raising awareness and much needed research funds for the CCFA.”
