by your friends at First Christian Church, 4800 South Calhoun Street, on the evenings of December 11 and 12, 2009, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Groups begin the 20-minute journey outside the church building every 10 minutes. The last group leaves at 8:10 p.m.

They will journey around the outside of the church building to view six scenes of the nativity complete with live animals and real characters. Then will go into the sanctuary for a time of prayer, reflection and meditation on the birth of Jesus as you view nativities from local collectors and a Fontanini village in the chapel. Finally, you will visit the marketplace in fellowship hall where you will experience spice and bread vendors, Roman soldiers, a census taker and other characters of the time.

It is their hope that you will WALK TO BETHLEHEM to honor the Christ Child during the Christmas season.

There is no fee for this event.
