THE DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT PARTNERS WITH DOWNTOWN RESTAURANTS
The Downtown Improvement District (DID) is working with several downtown restaurants to offer boxed lunches at their establishments in conjunction with its new event series Lunch on the Square.
“We wanted to encourage people to utilize downtown’s beautiful outdoor spaces, but we didn’t want to take business away from our downtown restaurants,” says DID Marketing & Events Coordinator Courtney Tritch. “As a result, we’ve created a very organic event where people can get boxed lunches from their favorite restaurant and then come down to One Summit Square to enjoy the free live music and other event amenities.”
Lunch on the Square will take place every Wednesday in July from 11:30am-1pm. This new event will transform the courtyard at One Summit Square (on Wayne & Calhoun Streets) with free live music so that people can take a break from their day and enjoy the summer sunshine. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch for an exceptional “out of office” experience. Visit www.downtownfortwayne.com to find downtown restaurants offering box lunches at affordable prices!
Along with great music, attendees can also relax and unwind with our “Health & Wellness Corner” featuring free chair massages by Vital Living Therapeutic Massage, Gyrotonic demonstrations by Pure Movement Pilates Studio and special activities each week by St. Joseph Hospital!
