HELEN J. LIPKEY, 87
HELEN J. LIPKEY, 87, of Uniondale, died Thursday, January 1, 2009. Born June 5, 1921, in Wells County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Kumfer and Alena (Faus) Kumfer Parker. She was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Uniondale.
Surviving are her daughters, Rebecca (Jack-deceased) Swoverland of Fort Wayne, Catherine (Tom) Fisher of Uniondale and Kay (Jack) Desjardins of New Haven; sister, Vada Welbaum of Ossian; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Lipkey of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, C. Clifford Lipkey; son, James Lipkey; and son-in-law, Jack Swoverland.
Private family service (per Helen’s request). Public Graveside service was noon Tuesday at Horeb Cemetery. Arrangements by Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian.
