DERBY GIRLS TO HOST BOUT IN DECEMBER
The Fort Wayne Derby Girls are proud to announce their first Charity Bout for the 2009 season. Since their inception in 2005, The Fort Wayne Derby Girls have raised in excess of $31,000 for local women’s and children’s charities and now it’s time for them to raise money for one of their own.
On December 7, 2008 at 6:00 pm two Fort Wayne Derby Girls teams, The Sugar Plum Scaries and The Nutcrackers will go head-to-head at Bell’s Skating Rink in New Haven, IN to raise money for former skater Snarles Manson, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, and her teenage daughter. Entry to the bout will be $5.00 or a gift card equivalent. Santa will also make a special appearance at half time.
