SMOKE ON THE WIND

My wife Jane and I have a very good friend by the name of Spirit Hawk. She lives in Ohio and recently came to Peace Tree Ridge to spend a few days with us at our country home.

Patty Spirit Hawk and I were walking in the woods when suddenly she looked down and picked up a beautiful feather. As she held it in her hand, admiring the gift from the winged, I asked her if she had put down any tobacco on Mother Earth for the gift of the feather. She said that she did not have any with her and could she please have some of mine to use as an offering? I told her that she should always carry some prayer ties to leave upon Mother Earth when taking anything from her.

I told Patty Spirit Hawk that the crows would be appearing to her, to remind her of her prayer life upon the Red Road. Patty is back in Ohio now, and she sent me an email, telling me that she was visiting with some mutual friends, Rainbow Eagle and Mary. She visited a sacred spot on their land and was meditating, when suddenly the crows started squawking. She said she thought about what I had told her.

Here is what Patty Spirit Hawk said to me: The next time I see you, Dancing Feather, I’m going to stuff a crow up your ……. I think she said nose, but I’m hearing impaired and cannot be one hundred percent certain as to the exact phrase. Oh well. Anyhow, the lessons will continue, and I look forward to sharing more stories about lessons learned upon the Red Road.

Blessings to you all.
From my heart with love and respect.
